About | Dr. Kristopher Mudd
Hi, I’m Dr. Kristopher Mudd—a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) and industrial-organizational psychologist based in California. I’ve spent over a decade helping people and organizations grow from the inside out.
I hold a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, an MBA, and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. My background combines the rigor of business strategy with the nuance of human behavior, allowing me to guide executives, founders, and leadership teams through complex challenges with clarity and compassion.
Over the past 7+ years, I’ve served as a clinician, executive coach, and organizational consultant. I’ve led teams, developed clinical programs, and served as a clinical director—giving me firsthand insight into what makes teams thrive and what causes them to fracture.
One of my core areas of focus is building team trust. Whether working with a startup founder navigating uncertainty or a senior team managing cross-functional dynamics, I help organizations cultivate psychological safety, clear communication, and a culture of accountability. I often draw from the Gottman model, radical acceptance, and behavioral science to foster environments where trust isn’t just a value—it’s a lived experience.
I’ve also authored several books on leadership, human behavior, and personal development. Through my company, Mudd Psychological & Leadership Services, I partner with founders, VCs, and mission-driven organizations to scale people alongside products.
If you're building something ambitious and want to ensure your people are growing just as fast—I’d love to connect.
